Job Description
RN - Oncology

Schedule

5 x 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday with shift start times rotating between 7:15 AM and 8:00 AM.

Assignment Details

Guaranteed hours; maximum of 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required.
• Travel experience is required; first-time travelers are not accepted.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification must be obtained by the compliance deadline.
• Experience with port/CVC access and management, central line blood draws, PICC line care, IM injections, and recognition of abnormal labs.
• Experience working in an infusion center is preferred.
• MO state license submission without a license is allowed; a MO or compact license is required.

Responsibilities

• Draw from ports/CVCs and manage ports and central lines.
• Perform central line blood draws and PICC care.
• Administer IM injections.
• Conduct patient assessments and communicate abnormal lab values effectively.
• Implement isolation and neutropenic precautions as necessary.

Compliance / Notes

Flu vaccine is required with exceptions available for medical or religious reasons. Attendance standards are enforced, with no more than 3 tardies and 2 call-ins allowed per 13-week contract.
