CNC Machinist - Lathe & Vertical Mills - 2nd Shift

Job Description EMC Precision, a machining specialist since 1925, is seeking an experienced Team Member to operate and maintain lathes with live tooling and vertical mills with 4th & 5th axis. The role focuses on ensuring smooth operations and quality output. Sign‑On Bonus $3,000 sign‑on bonus paid in three increments: $500 after 90 days, $1,000 after 6 months, and $1,500 after 12 months. Primary Job Duties CNC machine operation experience required Setup experience is a plus Lathe operation with live tooling (Y axis) and sub‑spindle Read and interpret technical drawings Use micrometer and other precision instruments Calculate and adjust machine settings Identify and solve production issues Requirements High school diploma or GED; must pass a background check and drug screen Fluent in math and verbal communication Minimum one year of shop experience Maintain a clean work area using 5S techniques Daily upkeep and maintenance of equipment Solid employment history Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push, pull, walk, stand, and operate hands, wrists, and fingers in various directions Occasional kneeling, stooping, bending, gripping, and climbing stairs Benefits Competitive wages based on experience Health, dental, vision, and voluntary life insurance 401(k) and 401(k) Roth contributions Paid holidays from day one 1 week of paid time off after 6 months 2 weeks of paid time off after 1 year Employment Details Job type: Full‑time.
