Overview


Schedule: Variable, 4x10hr shifts per week, Monday - Friday. The day off will not necessarily be the same each week.


Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Ophthalmic Technician, under general supervision of an Ophthalmologist, performs a variety of patient care activities to assist physicians, nurses, and division personnel. Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.


The Vision Center is located at the main hospital campus and some travel to satellite locations may be required.


Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 1+ years' experience as an Ophthalmic Assistant required; previous Pediatric Ophthalmology experience preferred; basic knowledge of eye examination techniques; bilingual preferred.


Education/Licensure/Certification: Certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant preferred. Certification as an Ophthalmic Technician preferred.

Pay Scale Information


USD $49,920.00 - USD $66,560.00

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
