Here, you'll find everything you need to excel in your job including outstanding facilities, comprehensive resources and talented teammates in partnering for healing and a healthy future.ResponsibilitiesProvide prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to women and their newborns.Conduct routine gynecological exams, including Pap smears and breast exams.Offer family planning services and contraceptive counseling.Assist with labor and delivery, including natural and medically assisted births.Monitor the health of mother and baby during and after childbirth.Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed.Collaborate with OB-GYNs, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals.Educate patients on reproductive health, childbirth preparation, and newborn care .Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.Advocate for holistic, patient-centered care and support maternal mental healthRequirementsRegistered Nurse (RN) license and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in Washington State.Successful completion of an American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM)-accredited nurse-midwifery programCurrent active certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board (or its predecessor, the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) Certification Council), or be actively seeking initial certification and obtain the same on the first examination for which he or she is eligibleClinical experience in obstetrics, gynecology, or women's health.Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.DEA, NPI & Prescriptive authorityCurrent BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart AssociationAbout Covington Medical CenterMultiCare Covington Medical Center, a four-story, 58-bed hub, serves southeast King County with inpatient and outpatient surgical care, a birth center, primary and specialty care, urgent care, 24-hour Emergency Department, pharmacy, lab and imaging services. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $191,000.00 - $198,600.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
