PRN Ultrasound Technologist - Availability for Weekend Day and/or Night Shifts Required

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic ultrasound examinations for patients across all age groups, ensuring precise imaging, appropriate equipment selection, accurate patient identification, and compliance with scanning protocols.

• Deliver outstanding patient care by educating and preparing individuals for procedures, gathering medical histories, documenting examinations, and coordinating care with healthcare providers, patients, and their families.

• Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant clinical setting by adhering to infection control standards, performing probe disinfection, assisting with sterile procedures, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

• Oversee and maintain ultrasound equipment and supplies in the exam room, conduct quality control checks, report any equipment malfunctions, and support the efficient functioning of the department.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, assist in the education of staff and students, uphold professional and ethical standards, and ensure timely documentation and transfer of images to PACS for interpretation.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Ultrasound program and eligibility for registry (Required)

• Associate’s degree in health sciences or a related field (Preferred)

• No prior work experience is necessary

Licenses and Certifications

• ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) or AART (S) Certification to be obtained within one year of hire. Physics registry must be completed upon hire (Required)

• For ACR accredited sites (MSMH, MSMHC, MGSH (BR), MMMC, MGUH, MWHC): American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS): RDMS(AB), (OB/GYN), (PS), (BR) or RVT(VT) required upon hire (Required)

• BLS - Basic Life Support Certification required upon hire (Required)

Compensation

This position offers a salary range of USD $35.68 - USD $64.71 per hour.
