About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of creating and sustaining an early childhood system that ensures all children and families have access to high-quality early childhood care and education. The successful candidate will be a systems leader with a strong background in intermediary work, capable of defining and holding the organization's role in the ecosystem. This role is pivotal in stewarding a shared agenda, improving quality, expanding access, and resourcing the system. The Executive Director will be responsible for strategic and systems leadership, fundraising, external affairs, and advocacy, with a focus on keeping the voices of providers, caregivers, and families at the center of decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, stakeholder navigation, and coalition building, and a deep commitment to advancing equity and addressing systemic inequities. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in systems leadership, with a demonstrated ability to raise significant funds and blend diverse revenue streams. The role requires a leader with a strong commitment to equity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate others. Strategic thinking, team leadership, and a proven record of advancing equity are essential. While not mandatory, deep knowledge of the local early childhood education ecosystem, established networks, and experience in policy analysis, operations management, and organizational development are preferred. The Executive Director will work closely with the board to shape the organization's strategic direction and will be expected to partner with the board in the transition to independent 501(c)(3) status.
