Responsibilities Lead client relationships on day‑to‑day tax matters with a portfolio ranging from middle‑market to multinational clients. Consult on technical matters and special projects in corporate and flow‑through taxation, accounting methods, and ASC740. Research and respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries, making recommendations to clients for consideration. Coordinate with specialty tax practices on complicated state and local, high‑net‑worth, international, research and development, and credit‑incentive matters. Manage client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met. Build strong relationships internally and externally to acquire new clients, projects, and revenue. Invest in your professional development individually and through participation in firm‑wide learning and development programs. Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or law, or a similar degree in business; a master’s or advanced degree is desirable. CPA, JD or EA required. Eight (8)+ years of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a professional services firm. Five (5)+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates. Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills. Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, and demonstrate commitment to continuous learning. Show sense of urgency and commitment to quality and timely completion of projects. Highly developed software and MicrosoftSuite skills. Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred. Compensation For California, Colorado, NewYork and Washington: The compensation range for this role is $186,200 to $394,670.
