Procurement Buyer / Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Procurement Buyer for a contract opportunity with the MTA at their 2 Broadway headquarters in New York City. The candidate will be responsible for full-lifecycle sourcing, RFP development, contract writing, complex negotiations, and contract administration across supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities-
Strategic Sourcing & RFPs: Design and execute RFP market strategies, evaluate complex vendor proposals, and direct strategic sourcing initiatives.

Contract Writing & Negotiation: Draft, negotiate, and administer commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, risk management standards, and operational guidelines.

Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Management: Oversee end-to-end P2P workflows using ERP purchasing software to manage purchasing activities and contract execution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional technical and operational units with minimal guidance to define requirements and deliver timely solutions.

Risk & Policy Alignment: Identify procurement risks and apply organizational procurement procedures and statutory policies to daily purchasing operations.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Contract Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Experience: 6+ years of full-time professional experience in strategic sourcing, purchasing, contract writing, and contract administration.

Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with ERP purchasing applications, advanced spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software.

Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of procure-to-pay (P2P) processes, contract law basics, RFP development, and commercial risk evaluation.

Work Requirement: Ability to work 100% onsite at MTA Headquarters in NYC.
