Job Description

The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. This role partners closely with operations, quality, engineering, and customers to drive continuous improvement initiatives, support new product introductions, and ensure efficient execution of manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
• Identify and implement process improvements that reduce costs, minimize waste, and increase operational efficiency.
• Design and implement process optimization strategies to improve cycle times, yield, and product quality.
• Monitor and analyze process performance data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions and improvements.
• Establish and maintain process controls, including Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies, to reduce variation and improve consistency.
• Lead or participate in root cause investigations and support corrective and preventive action initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new processes, technologies, equipment, and products into production.
• Provide training and guidance to production personnel on new processes, equipment, and work instructions.
• Serve as a key liaison between internal teams and customers regarding process and quality-related matters.
• Support customer communications related to quality, process performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate and support the VI quoting process, including preparing or facilitating quotes.
• Oversee the movement and completion of VI development parts through the facility to ensure timely execution.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience developing and implementing quality standards and quality control systems.
• Experience monitoring, analyzing, and improving quality performance metrics.
• Knowledge of material, process, and product inspection and testing methods.
• Ability to collaborate with operations and engineering teams to implement process controls and improvements.
• Experience ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to product and manufacturing issues.
• Experience developing corrective actions and process improvement initiatives.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and manufacturing processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• ASQ Certification preferred.
• Experience utilizing SPC, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and Lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Salary: $75K-$80K DOE
