Associate Project Manager - Modernization

By joining us, you don't just become part of our success story; you help shape the future and continue our rich legacy that started back in 1874.Your main responsibilities:Project Support, Submittals & Close-Outs - Assist with modernization projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant close-out.Review and book projects within one week of award, alerting the Manager of any potential completion date risks and providing action plans.Facilitate the engineering submittal approval process among Schindler Engineering, architects, general contractors, consultants, and customers.Process subcontracts for internal legal review, facilitate contract changes, and ensure timely payment collection to mitigate bad debt.Ensure compliance with insurance requirements and obtain necessary tax-exempt certificates.Financial & Change Order Support - Monitor job progress and financial performance, notifying the Manager of any delays and providing action plans.Facilitate with project scope, prepare change order paperwork, and track changes in SAP to ensure proper documentation.Ensure projects are invoiced and achieve 90% payment before elevator turnover.Quality, Safety & Manpower - Ensure compliance with customer and Schindler requirements for quality, performance, and passenger safety.Influence installation scheduling and manpower to meet budget commitments.Material and Permit Coordination - Coordinate the delivery of approved submittals and materials from vendors to ensure readiness before project start.Submit required permits or certificates as mandated by local codes or authorities.What you bring:Bachelor's degree preferredPMP Certification is a plus3+ years of experience in the elevator industry or other technical fieldSolid problem-solving skills, high sense of urgency, strong communication and interpersonal skillsProficient in building and managing client relationshipsResourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail orientedExcellent time management and organizational skillsExperience managing timelines, scheduling, and budgetsExcellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office & ExcelWhat's in it for you?Fully vested 401k match, up to 7% of total eligible compensation.Competitive Medical, Dental and Vision Plans - Effective from first day of hire.3 weeks' vacation which increases with tenure, 7 sick days, 3 floating holidays and 8 Company Observed Holidays.Tuition Reimbursement - Eligible after 6 months of service.Parental Leave – 100% base pay for 6 consecutive weeks within first year of a child's birth or adoption.A wide range of development opportunities to boost your professional and leadership growth.Base Salary $81,500 - $101,900The above represents the typical salary range for this position.
