Job Description The Department of OB/GYN at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine is seeking a highly qualified academic generalist to join our growing Division of Specialists in General OB/GYN. This role requires excellence in patient care, education, and scholarly activity. Faculty enjoy customized career growth opportunities and leadership roles available with this position. Responsibilities Provide general Obstetrics and Gynecology care, including ambulatory care, deliveries, surgery, and complete maternal care. Co‑manage patient care with Maternal‑Fetal Medicine faculty. Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher‑level administrator of a State university. Perform teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities. Provide academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department. Qualifications Medical degree from an accredited institution or equivalent highest degree in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. For Associate or Full Professor – normally has produced creative work, professional writing, or research in peer‑reviewed journals and is a recognized authority in the field of specialization. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology. Must have completed Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology with an interest in teaching and patient care, and be eligible for a Florida Medical License. Positive factors for consideration include an excellent record of clinical care with several years of teaching/supervising experience, demonstrated leadership skills, and strong communication abilities to work in a team‑based environment.
