Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Location - Burbank, CA

Duration - 13 Weeks

Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join a busy surgical services department within an acute care hospital. The ideal candidate will have strong perioperative nursing skills and be comfortable participating in an on-call rotation to support surgical services.

Assignment Details:

• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Weekend requirements limited to scheduled call coverage
• On-call required
  • Approximately 4–6 call shifts within a 6-week period
  • Weekday Call: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Weekend Call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Block scheduling available at manager discretion
• Guaranteed hours provided; facility may call off one shift per two-week pay period

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse License
• BCLS Certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and surgical procedures

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care for surgical patients
• Prepare operating rooms and ensure appropriate surgical supplies and equipment are available
• Maintain sterile technique and patient safety throughout procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical team members
• Monitor patients during the intraoperative phase and assist with patient transitions
• Participate in the on-call rotation as required
