Growing together.The Pharmacy Floor Technician picks, labels, scans and otherwise prepares the finished prescription for final verification by a pharmacist.This position operates in a long-term care pharmacy. This role may use standard office and/or pharmacy equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, rolling carts, fax machines and etc. A large portion of work shall be performed in the long-term care facility where the noise may be loud.Address: 281 Shore DR, Units C and D, Burr Ridge, IL Hours: Monday - Friday - 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM; Rotating weekends - 10:00 am - 6:30 PMPrimary Responsibilities:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Fills daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner, under the supervision of a pharmacistAssists in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedureAssist in prepacking frequently ordered medications, label and store, as needed during low volume timesPackages materials and products manuallyPull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (prepack racks)Applies labels to blistercards or artromick boxes then scans product for accuracy checkAlerts pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properlyMaintains designated workstation areas and replenishes all stock supplies neededResponsible to ensure all crushed/dropped medication(s) are properly segregated for destruction or disposal as RCRA hazardous waste or non-RCRA waste in accordance with applicable USEPA and State waste regulationsResponsble to ensure all P-waste containers/packaging are disposed of in the RCRA Hazardous waste bin in accordance with applicable USEPA and State waste regulationsFollow all applicable government regulations including HIPAAOvertime, holidays and weekends may be required and/or expectedComplies with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.Other duties as assignedCompetencies:Attention to detailCollaboration SkillsCommunicationDecision MakingDiscretionPerformance ManagementProblem Solving/AnalysisReliabilityTeamworkTechnical CapacityYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or EquivalentRegistered Pharmacy Technician in Illinois or registration should be in the processAbility to stand for a full shift with intermittent breaksPreferred Qualifications:National Pharmacy Technician CertificationComplete RCRA training regarding handling and disposing of hazardous waste within 180 days of hire and annually thereafter. The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 - $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment.
