Job Title: CVOR Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 8-Hour Days Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Must-Have: Must have strong experience with Open Heart, Vascular, Thoracic, General Cardiovascular, and Cardiovascular Hybrid cases. Must be flexible to work evening shifts if needed. Must have reliable attendance and punctuality. Skills checklist must accurately reflect experience; proficiency is required. Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in the Cardiovascular Operating Room. The role involves handling various cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgeries. Candidates must be proficient in handling open heart and other complex cases. Call requirements include being on call approximately every 7th weekend. The response time for call is 30 minutes. There will be a weekend requirement for RN coverage approximately once a quarter. Surgeons cover their cases 24/7. The facility performs around 55-60 cases per day. The environment is full service, excluding major pediatric cases and transplants. There is no requirement for scrubbing, although it is preferred. Candidates should possess strong communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility and a commitment to patient care are essential.
