We understand that management, performance objectives and feeding practices can be vastly different between operations, and that these differences dictate specific nutritional or formulation requirements. Our experienced sales staff and nutritionist will work with the Producer to design a feeding program that is specific to their operation.Mission StatementOur Mission is to add value to the suppliers and end users in the feed ingredient supply chain through distribution, processing and service.Guiding PrincipleOur focus is to provide customized feeding programs, nutritional products, and expert service to livestock producers that promote their long-term success and profitability.Position SummaryThe Accounting Manager is a hands-on, working leader responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations while actively completing and reviewing accounting deliverables. This role provides leadership across corporate and field accounting and administrative teams, ensures the integrity of financial data, and drives process improvement and standardization throughout the organization.Responsibilities and DutiesServe as a working manager, actively preparing, reviewing, and approving accounting workpapers and processesProvide leadership, direction, and support to accounting and administrative teams at both corporate and field locationsManage the month-end close process while maintaining a strong internal control environmentOversee general accounting functions, including general ledger, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, intercompany activity, cash management, and financial reportingPrepare and review balance sheet reconciliations to validate underlying transactions and maintain deep knowledge of critical account balancesMaintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrityEnsure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of accounting data from ERP and reporting systemsDrive continuous process improvements by identifying gaps, recognizing control weaknesses or inefficiencies, and recommending practical solutionsRefine, document, and implement standardized accounting processes across assigned locations to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalabilityMonitor and analyze accounting and administrative activities to develop efficiencies while maintaining a high level of accuracyProvide key support for annual external audits and bank audits, including preparation of supporting schedules, workpapers, and explanationsSupport management initiatives such as process standardization, simplification, financial analysis, variance resolution, and special projectsAnalyze financial data and trends to deliver insights and recommend strategies that support organizational goalsPartner across departments to resolve issues, support priorities, and meet shared objectivesQualifications and SkillsBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably at the Staff Accountant level or higherStrong understanding of GAAP, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement preparationDemonstrated experience with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliationsExperience implementing new systems and serving as a cross-functional resource during the transitionProven ability to improve and standardize accounting processes in a growing organizationExperience with Syspro ERP a plusIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlinesExcellent communicator able to effectively interact with all levels of the organizationUses sound judgment and compelling reasoning to gain support and drive alignmentStrategic thinker with a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processesDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and continuous refinement of resultsProactive self-starter who takes on new challenges with energy and urgencyAbility to resolve conflict and navigate complex challenges effectivelyStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to make timely, informed decisionsCollaborative partner who shares knowledge, builds relationships, and promotes a user-focused mindsetAbility to see the big picture and translate insights into actionable strategiesBenefits and PerksAll full-time employees eligible for a competitive benefits package. #J-18808-Ljbffr Livestock-Nutrition-Center,-LL
