Senior Trade Compliance Specialist

The Senior Trade Compliance Specialis t is a member of the Foreign Trade Department working closely with the Director and Manager to complete compliance objectives across all U.S. and international locations to support the company's business operations. Independently manages all day-to-day work while contributing to higher level projects as assigned by the Director and/or Manager esEnsure the department's daily responsibilities are completed and addressed in a timely manne r.Disseminate guidance and direction on trade compliance requirement s.Determine jurisdiction and export classification of products, technical data, and service s.Engage in inquiries to identify and reconcile trade compliance issue s.Maintain expert level knowledge of U.S. trade laws and regulation s.Generate U.S. Department of Commerce and U.S. Department of State application s.Assist in the development and implementation of foreign trade related processes, programs, and resource s.Direct audits of trade compliance processes and requirement s.Serve as interface and external spokesperson on trade compliance related matter s.Assist in the development and presentation of trade compliance trainin g.Assist in training new trade compliance personne l.Other items as assigned by the Director and Manager of Foreign Trad ts Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field referred; and at least 5 years' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in Aerospace or Defense related industries strongly preferr ed.Possesses knowledge of U.S. trade laws and regulations. Specifically, an expert level knowledge and understanding of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EA R).Must have a technical background i.e. understanding manufacturing processes, technical drawings, materials, electronics and units of measu re.Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Acce ss.Due to US export control laws, must be a US citizen, permanent resident or have protected sta tusCapable of working independently, as well as collaboratively with corporate and business personn #J-18808-Ljbffr Hunter Recruiting
