Warehouse Clerk/ data entry

Overview

The Warehouse Clerk / Data Entry Clerk is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations through accurate data entry, inventory tracking, and documentation control. This role ensures that all inbound and outbound materials are properly recorded in the system and that warehouse records remain accurate, organized, and up to date.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter, update, and maintain inventory and shipment data in warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Process inbound and outbound orders, receipts, and shipping documentation
• Verify accuracy of purchase orders, packing slips, and inventory records
• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits
• Track and resolve discrepancies in inventory or shipment data
• Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems
• Communicate with warehouse staff, supervisors, and carriers to ensure accurate order flow
• Support general warehouse operations as needed, including labeling and scanning materials
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Skills and Experience

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse or data entry experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and data entry systems)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and move within a warehouse as needed

Work Environment

• Warehouse setting with occasional exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures
• Requires a mix of computer-based work and warehouse floor activity
