Overview Maintenance Supervisor, Preston, Georgia — As a Maintenance Supervisor at Interfor, you’ll play a pivotal role in keeping our mill running smoothly and safely. You’ll lead a skilled maintenance crew, championing safety and professionalism while driving continuous improvement across our operations. This is strictly a weekend shift, requiring you to work Wednesday through Sunday. Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment. Make improvement recommendations for plant equipment reliability and maintenance-related problems solving. Ensure that maintenance personnel are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated. Assist with hiring, scheduling, and supervision of maintenance personnel. Evaluate employee competency, knowledge, and core values relative to expected standards and provide coaching to employees as needed. Manage/supervise maintenance team on the weekends as needed. Set and communicate direction for crew. Ensure quality of maintenance work performed. Oversee machine center performance (mechanical and electrical). Develop, plan, and implement work projects. Administer and enforce company policies as appropriate. What You Offer Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills. Detail-Oriented: Results-driven and able to prioritize under pressure. Industrial Experience: 5 years of heavy industrial maintenance; wood products manufacturing experience and supervision preferred. Technical Qualifications: Post-secondary education in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Journey Millwright certification is an asset.
