This role is primarily focused on building modern, scalable user experiences using React.js and TypeScript, while also contributing to backend services and APIs in JavaIn this role, you will:Design, build, test, and maintain scalable frontend applications and user-facing platform capabilities for advertising technology products and services, with a primary focus on React.js and TypeScriptDevelop intuitive, performant, and maintainable web experiences that support a wide range of B2B partners, from large enterprises to creators and small businessesContribute to backend services and APIs using Java or Kotlin, supporting frontend functionality and end-to-end product deliveryParticipate in system design, low-level design, API design, and data modeling to deliver reliable, extensible solutions across frontend and backend componentsCollaborate with engineers, product, and partner teams to translate business needs into technical solutions that improve advertising platform capabilities and customer outcomesOwn well-defined components and services, troubleshoot production issues, and improve operational health through monitoring, debugging, automation, and continuous improvementWrite high-quality, secure, and well-tested code, participate in code reviews, and follow engineering standards that support performance, scalability, accessibility, and resilienceSafely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions that improve outcomes, including familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows, and apply AI/ML concepts to real-world productsMinimum QualificationsStrong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, GraphQL,Working proficiency in Java or Kotlin for backend development and service integrationBachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent related professional experience2+ years of software development experience building and supporting production systems and servicesExperience building frontend applications in a modern web stack, with an emphasis on component-based architecture, state management, performance, and maintainabilityExperience owning components or services within a team, with responsibility for implementation, testing, deployment, and operational supportProficiency in software engineering fundamentals, including coding, data structures, algorithms, debugging, and version control, with working knowledge of system design, low-level design, API design, and data modelingExperience developing reliable, scalable applications and working across more than one technical area or service, with the ability to diagnose issues and deliver maintainable solutionsPreferred QualificationsExperience building software for advertising technology, marketplace, or other high-scale distributed platformsDemonstrated strength in frontend engineering, including building responsive, accessible, and high-performing user interfaces with React.js and TypeScriptExperience contributing to architecture or design discussions for frontend applications, services, APIs, and data models within a team-owned domainDemonstrated ability to improve service quality through observability, automation, performance tuning, and operational excellence practicesFamiliarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows, and experience applying AI/ML concepts in production-oriented software environmentsExperience using data and metrics to inform engineering decisions, prioritize improvements, and measure the impact of technical solutionsLocation:Please note that this role is only available in Seattle, WA, in alignment with our flexible work model, which requires employees to be in the office at least three days a week. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $190,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
