Intensive Family Intervention Therapist for Fulton/Dekalb County (Full-time Position)

Pay: $37.00 - $50.00 per hour Job description: Overview The Intensive Family Intervention Therapist position is focused on providing intensive in‑home individual/family mental health counseling using evidence‑based and trauma‑informed approaches of care for children and adolescents at high risk of out of home placement or returning home from inpatient or residential treatment. Job Duties and Responsibilities Providing individual/family mental health counseling using evidence based and trauma informed approaches of care. Commitment to providing consistent, ongoing services to clients. Participate in coordination of care with a multi-disciplinary treatment team. Coordinating with a team to provide crisis intervention as necessary to enhance and restore functioning. Participate in weekly individual supervision with team lead. Meet or exceed agency required productivity and documentation standards. Must be flexible to work afterschool hours and weekends to accommodate clients served. Travel required. Other duties as assigned. Mandatory Requirements Minimum of a Master’s degree in a psychology/social work/human services‑related discipline with at least 2 years of experience required. Must be at least license eligible -Currentlicensure status in the state of Georgia (fully licensed LPC/LCSW/LMFT) or Licensure pursuit status (LMSW, LAPC, LAMFT) for candidates who have recently completed a master’s degree. Must have qualified clinician providing supervision. Must be able to pass DBHDD background check (required prior to providing any services to clients). State‑mandated training: Relias, CPR/First Aid, CPI – must be completed within the first 30 days of hire, Relias training is at no cost, the cost of CPR/First Aid and CPI are not covered by GFIT. Excellent organization, communication, and time management strategies. Willingness to travel to meet within clients in the Fulton/Dekalb County area. Availability to work full‑time with a flexible schedule, including after‑school hours and weekends. Receptivity to feedback/constructive criticism. Preferred Requirements Bilingual skills advantageous. Experience in substance abuse treatment or CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) certification is a plus. Past experience with Notenetic preferred. Knowledge of Medicaid/CMO compliance requirements preferred. Ability to meet the requirements of a full‑time position that involves schedule flexibility and travel of up to one hour or less to meet clients in person. Individuals who are prompt in communication, have collaborative personalities, and demonstrate a passion and knowledge for mental health and human services will be considered. Job Location Type: Hybrid – Applicants either must reside in or have reliable transportation to provide in‑person services within Fulton/Dekalb County, GA . Travel to client homes and community locations as required, with willingness to commute up to 1 hour for client sessions. Schedule Requirements: Must be flexible to work afterschool hours and weekends in order to accommodate the needs of the clients served. With availability to provide services during morning, afternoon, and/or evening hours. Be flexible to meet the scheduling needs of the parent/guardian. At least 90% of contact must be face‑to‑face.
