Per Diem Phlebotomist

This individual will draw blood from patients for laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility. The Phlebotomist maintains a cooperative relationship with clinical staff and helps to create a positive experience for our patients. Essential Functions And Accountabilities Properly identify patients. Perform and explain the process of venipuncture and/or other specimen collection as required. Conduct blood draws, label specimens, and centrifuge specimens. Store and transport specimen samples according to procedures to maintain integrity of the specimen. Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations. Maintain a clean and stocked phlebotomy area. Reassure patients and provide comfort to ease anxieties. Academic Training Completion of a Phlebotomy Program – highly preferred (required in CA, WA, TX). Studies level: Certification. Studies area: Phlebotomy Program. Position Requirements/Experience 3+ years of recent work performing venipunctures in a fast‑paced lab or hospital setting – required. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings. Technical Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Word, and Outlook – required. Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience – required. Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Options.
