Prudential HealthCare Staffing is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment at RiverView Health in Crookston, Minnesota.

Compensation

• Pay Rate: $85/hour
• $3,400 gross weekly based on 40 scheduled hours
• Full-time contract schedule

Schedule & Assignment

• Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week
• Scheduled Hours: 40 hours per week

Position Description

The Operating Room RN will provide perioperative nursing care and work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technicians, and other healthcare professionals to support safe and effective surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care before, during, and following surgical procedures
• Assess and monitor patients throughout the perioperative process
• Prepare the operating room for scheduled procedures
• Verify appropriate surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment are available
• Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-prevention procedures
• Assist surgeons and other members of the surgical team during procedures
• Administer medications and treatments within the RN scope of practice and facility protocols
• Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Follow RiverView Health policies, safety procedures, and standards of nursing practice
• Participate in call/callback coverage if required by the assignment

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 1 year of OR experience Required

Required Certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS

Schedule: Rotating 8hr Shifts, Monday-Friday

On-Call: Late Shift Call Rotation & Every 4th Weekend

Procedures: Upper and lower endoscopies, general procedures both open and laparoscopic, spine, upper and lower total joints, orthopedic sport medicine, podiatry, OBGYN including c-section, cardiac pacemaker insertions, and pain management.

• Operating Room (OR) nursing experience required
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing and sterile technique
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a surgical team
• Strong patient assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work the 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, 5-day-per-week schedule
• Must successfully complete all required prescreening, credentialing, and facility compliance requirements before the assignment begins
