Integration Engineer

YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY Design and develop complex power distribution systems for a hyper‑scale data center campus. Expertise in protection or automation control in power systems, project management, vendor coordination, and innovative solution design is required. WHAT YOU’LL DO Collaborate with the department to perform pre‑construction design and development of complete power systems, protection, control and concepts of operation. Design and develop site‑wide electrical distribution sequences of operation to ensure reliability and resilience. Coordinate with utilities, turbine power plants, BESS, or combinations thereof. Evaluate vendor or manufacturer submittals and equipment to ensure compliance with design requirements. Conduct vendor coordination meetings to verify integration of systems and equipment. Design mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical interlock systems. Specify relaying and instrument transformers to secure dependable operation. Develop system‑wide automation systems using PLC or RTAC style industrial controllers, including overload prevention, multi‑purpose busway interlocks, load management, generator plant load curtailment, startup controls, selective load pickup and load shed schemes. Design and develop relay protection and automation logics. WHAT YOU BRING TO US Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architectural engineering, or construction sciences. Minimum eight years of engineering experience. One year on‑site field experience strongly encouraged. Licensed as a U.S. Professional Engineer. Combination of education, training, and relevant experience accepted. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL Self‑starting and avid learner of new technologies and products. Strong understanding of power distribution systems, relaying, and automation systems. Knowledge of electrical power system components such as emergency generators, transformers, switchgears, switchboards, transfer switches, protective relays, UPS, DRUPS, motors, static transfer switches, PDUs, battery storage systems, inverters, PV systems, wind turbines, substation equipment. Ability to understand and analyze TCCs and power system studies. Result‑driven attitude with strong problem‑solving skills. Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities under time pressure. Effective oral and written communication skills. Self‑motivated, proactive, and effective team player who interacts professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, and clients. TRAVEL & WORKING CONDITIONS Up to 25% travel (excluding local field visits). General work environment includes long periods of sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Noise level is usually low to medium. Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
