As a Progressive Care Nurse, you will provide care to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients on a medical/surgical unit. Your role will involve offering physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to patients. You will collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired outcomes. You will also act as a clinical leader, assisting with precepting staff and providing direct care from admission to discharge.

• Provide care for patients requiring more intensive monitoring, including post-op surgical patients, pre and post PCI care, and those with pacemaker placement, revascularization, and more
• Operate advanced medical equipment and care for patients with central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, and more
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care delivery
• Assess and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision
• Provide direction to RN, LPN, CNA, Housekeeping Staff, and Dietary Staff
• Receive directions from Providers, Charge Nurse, and Chief Nursing Officer

Requirements:

• Current State of Montana RN Licensure
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required (or obtained within 6 months of hire)
• Experience in post heart catheterization and post-op vascular surgery preferred
• Ability to manage common IV medications such as Heparin, Diltiazem, Dobutamine, Lasix or Bumex, Amiodarone, and Dopamine
• Need 1 year experience in setting
