Customer Service Representative

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing a well-stocked and well-maintained department while providing superior customer service. You'll stock and properly rotate products on a daily basis, while maintaining all department and safety / sanitation standards.

Key responsibilities and essential functions include:

• Stocking and organizing products
• Assisting with inventory control
• Organizing and cleaning back areas
• Ensuring integrity of shelf tags and signage
• Maintaining shrink, safety, inventory control, and sanitation standards
• Checking shipments for out-of-date and damaged product
• Building, stocking, maintaining, and taking down store displays
• Performing duties of Customer Service Assistant as needed
• Providing superior customer service
• Answering customer questions regarding products and assisting with selections
• Merchandising product effectively
• Using suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales
• Cleaning and sanitizing sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment
• Properly handling and maintaining the operation of all equipment
• Complying with departmental SOPs and store operating procedures

Additional department-specific responsibilities may include:

• Beauty: Knowledge of beauty and cosmetic aids
• Drugstore / General Merchandise: Preparing tags and signs as needed
• Grocery: Organizing, cleaning, and preparing back areas
• Texas Backyard: Passion for outdoors
• Entertainment: Knowledge in the audio / video field

Qualifications and key requirements include:

• Age requirement: 18+
• Work experience: Knowledge/skills/abilities
• Strong customer service skills
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Reading and writing skills
• Planning and organizing skills
• Education: HS diploma or GED (or equivalent)
• Licenses/certifications: Completion of Company Orientation and Safety Training upon hire

• Demonstrate the ability to lift 55 lbs, and manage in excess of 65 lbs

Grocery:

• Constantly reach at waist, pivot, grasp
• Frequently stand, walk, reach at shoulder, reach at knee, stoop, push / pull with arms, pinch, perform fine motor movements, ulnar/ radial deviation, extend and flex wrists
• Frequently be exposed to cold conditions
