• Title: Staff Accountant
• Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
• Contract Duration: 4-6 Months
• Hourly Rate: $32-$36/hour
• Conversion Salary: $75-$85K
• Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)

I. Key Responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and journal entries
• Support month-end close activities
• Assist with accounts payable processes and vendor maintenance
• Process client receipts and support daily accounting operations
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure attention to detail across all accounting functions
• Take on increasing ownership and general ledger responsibilities as the role evolves

II. Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of:
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Journal entries
  • Account reconciliations
  • Month-end close processes
• Ability to work in a hands-on environment and support a variety of accounting functions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Demonstrated growth mindset and desire to expand responsibilities

III. Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within a professional services environment
• Familiarity with professional service industry
