Respiratory Therapist Opportunity in Hilo, HI

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider in Hilo, HI where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. You will provide continuous airway management, ventilator and non-invasive ventilator management and support, physician consulting, CPR, and all aspects of respiratory care. Equipment in use includes PB 980 and PB 840 ventilators, V60, ParaPac transport ventilator, computerized charting, and Pyxis medication management.

Minimum Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Current State of Hawaii respiratory therapist license in good standing. Candidates not currently licensed in Hawaii must apply upon acceptance of offer and must have the Hawaii license by the start of assignment.
• One year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• BLS certification.
• Ability to care for adult and pediatric patients.
• Proof of flu vaccination or a facility-approved medical or religious exception required prior to contract start date. Flu vaccination may be administered during employee health clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PB 980, PB 840, V60 ventilators, and ParaPac transport ventilator.
• Experience with computerized charting systems and Pyxis medication management.

Assignment Details

• Day shift hours: 0630-1900.
• Three 12-hour shifts weekly (36 hours).
• Candidate must obtain Hawaii state license prior to assignment start.
