Health Systems SpecialistEnvironmental Health & Safety TeamCore Business hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pmDirect Report: Health & Environmental Unit ManagerType: Exempt; Full-timeAbout the PositionWe are looking for a Specialist to ensure technical and behavioral compliance with health, and safety laws and regulations and drive activities for a safe and healthy workplace.Responsibilities are:Conduct First Aid/AED cabinet inspections and ensure all equipment is stocked and functionalAdminister Workers' Compensation claims and the Return to Work/Light Duty ProgramConduct Industrial Hygiene inspections (Air, Noise, Radiation) and ensure OSHA/TOSHA complianceConduct Ergonomic Assessments and Annual Hearing TestsWork with the Program Coordinator to update and implement health-related policiesTrack all health-related metrics in EHS softwareEnsure HIPAA compliance regarding information sharing and recordkeepingWork with the Program Coordinator to develop and conduct health-related training through in-person and LMS methodsEnsure Bloodborne Pathogen complianceParticipate in Gemba walks throughout the facilityAdminister health-related KPIs and identify opportunities for improvementActively participate in the design, setup, and implementation of new health equipment and processesAdminister the site-wide Tennessee Drug-Free Workplace ProgramPerform additional duties as assigned by managementRequirements are:Education:(Required) high school diploma or general education equivalent(Preferred) bachelor's degree; occupational safety and health, environmental safety and health, health care administration or related fieldExperience:(Required) 2+ years of health care administration or industrial hygieneLanguage:(Required) good command of written and spoken EnglishSkills & Knowledge:Law and Government - Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political processEducation and Training - Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effectsPublic Safety and Security - Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safe and security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutionsCustomer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
