Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Shifts are typically 8 hours; start times vary. Expected schedule may include Wed–Sun or Thu–Mon rotations. Weekend requirements vary by assignment. Holidays are not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients across assigned areas, which may include inpatient, outpatient, and/or rehab settings, with potential to float to other areas as needed
• Manage a caseload of up to 9 patients per day in outpatient settings or up to 13 patients per day in inpatient settings; rehab caseloads vary
• Treat a variety of diagnoses including stroke, TBI, neurological conditions, trauma, cognitive impairments, and dysphagia
• Perform bedside swallow studies (required) as part of standard patient care
• Document patient care using Cerner Powerchart (training provided during orientation if needed)
• Collaborate with rehab aides and interdisciplinary team members to support patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) — required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — required
• Minimum of one year of professional experience as an SLP (candidates with strong inpatient clinical experience may be considered)
• Experience with bedside swallow studies
• Ability to adhere to facility dress code: maroon polo shirt, dark-colored pants, and closed-toe shoes (lab coat optional)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with video swallowing studies (MBSS/FEES)
• Prior travel therapy experience
• Background in trauma care settings
• Familiarity with Cerner Powerchart EMR
