Fabricator

Fabricators will be primarily responsible for assembling and/or fabricating parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications and to the production schedule.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to work with hands and weld skillfully, and accurately read blueprints. Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, specifications, weld symbols, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately fabricate products. Operate calipers, weld gauges, tape measures, grinders and other welding hand tools. Maintain weld machines using preventative maintenance methods. Create specific weldment set-ups and fixturing to meet geometric requirements. Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards. Rework and/or repair welded parts and products according to engineering specification changes. Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures. Prioritize workflow through effective communication with management staff. Maintain a clean and safe work area.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Minimum 2 years or more of welding and fabrication experience. Ability to read and interpret complex blue prints. Ability to fabricate, troubleshoot welding and layout. Strong problem-solving skills required. Must be able to receive, understand and execute written and verbal directions, as well as the ability to communicate and interact with others effectively.
