We specialize in the development of innovative and customized dockside, road and rail handling solutions.Located where Lake Michigan meets the Calumet River, QSL America - NASCO is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Maintenance Clerk to support our maintenance and operations teams in Chicago. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating work orders, inventory, purchasing, vendor communication, and maintenance planning while working closely with technicians and operational leadership.This position plays a critical role in helping ensure maintenance activities remain organized, efficient, and aligned with operational and safety objectives.Responsibilities:Create and manage maintenance work orders within MaximoMonitor preventive maintenance schedules and support maintenance planning activitiesCoordinate with vendors regarding parts, service requests, quotes, and delivery timelinesAssist with inventory tracking, replenishment, and organizationSupport purchasing coordination, invoice follow-up, and PO approvalsReview Daily Inspection Sheets to assist with maintenance backlog planningMaintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentationSupport audits, inspections, and compliance-related administrative activitiesWork closely with maintenance technicians and leadership to support daily operationsWhat You Need to Succeed:Previous administrative or maintenance support experience preferredExperience with Maximo or other CMMS systems preferredStrong organizational and multitasking skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and OutlookStrong communication and follow-up skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced industrial or operational environmentAttention to detail and strong data entry accuracyExperience with inventory, purchasing, or vendor coordination is a plusWhat We Offer:Competitive compensation based on experienceStable full-time opportunityProfessional development and training opportunitiesCollaborative team environmentSafety-focused workplace cultureOpportunity to support large-scale industrial and logistics operationsWork Schedule:Full-time positionMonday through Friday with occasional flexibility based on operational needsQSL and all entities under the QSL name including Sycamore Specialized Carriers are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
