MEP Manager

Nationwide GC seeks a Superintendent for Large Mission Critical or Distribution Warehouse builds. Salary: $100,000 - $175,000 per year. Benefits Competitive Base Salary Extremely Competitive Benefits Package Creative Bonus Structures Vehicle allowances Professional Career Development Field Activities & Project Management Responsibilities Takes ownership of all aspects of the field activities from start‑up to completion on projects. Activities include project safety, quality, schedule, planning, jobsite logistics, leading the on‑site management team, subcontractor coordination, and risk assessment. Maintains and tracks overall project schedule, including a two‑to‑three‑week look‑ahead. Provides real‑time data to PM/Scheduler for schedule maintenance. Ensures Site Safety requirements are met at all times, including personnel and jobsite standards; can safely stop work if infractions are found and counsel subcontractors and team members when violations occur. Trains project team members on Gray software such as CMO, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Concur, and E‑Time. Conducts site and weekly meetings to coordinate subcontractor activities so that all teams work cooperatively throughout the project and with the project schedule. Produces monthly project reports tracking overall progression concerning safety, schedule, subcontractor performance, quality, budget, and customer relations. Collaborates with the PM team to ensure timely buyout of subcontracts and that procurement schedule is managed to meet project schedule. Leads, teaches, coaches, and trains subordinates in professional contractual relationships with all parties involved. Demonstrates through words, actions, and leads how to be firm but fair and professional. Establishes and manages a jobsite safety culture in accordance with Gray’s safety program. Leads by example and holds the site team accountable for adhering to Gray policies and procedures while teaching them and assisting in achieving their goals. Actively facilitates growth of team members through mentoring. Sets up and closes out construction sites. Walks the project daily to ensure work is completed safely, meets quality standards, and adheres to the schedule. Communicates early and often, providing consistent factual information to the project team (project manager, design manager, customer, site team, subs, field ops, etc.). Conducts required meetings to coordinate subcontractor activities on site. Reviews all drawings (shop, architectural, structural, etc.) when issued to the field and maintains a current set at all times. Studies project documents to ensure the project is built per plans, specifications, and contract. Reviews project budget with the Project Manager regularly; is attuned to financial impacts of the site team. Assists in developing scopes of work for review and approval of the Project Manager. May assist the Project Manager in locating and evaluating potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, and participate in pre‑award meetings. Assists in preparing reports, including cost to complete, monthly billings, and status reports. Implements and executes project closeout and punch‑list procedures. Takes overall coordination and management of the project team, including PM and DM, once site activities start, ensuring buyout and procurement are on schedule. Assumes ownership of schedule after mobilization and ensures proper management to meet or exceed customer expectations. Qualifications Minimum of 8+ years related construction experience. Experience in overall responsibility for field activities on the project site with collaboration between design, project, and schedule management. Experience on large construction projects in manufacturing, food and beverage, automotive, distribution, and mission critical markets; project volumes ranging from $10MM to over $200MM. Demonstrated leadership abilities to manage and direct on‑site project teams to successful completions. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents. Strong people management skills.
