Forklift Operator -1st Shift

Kings Mountain, North Carolina, United States At Utz Quality Foods, we’re launching a brand-new, state-of-the-art logistics facility in Gastonia, NC , and we’re looking for skilled Forklift Operators to join our team. This hands‑on role will involve receiving shipping manifest and pulls product in proper rotation order while maximizing cube of trailer. Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Responsibilities Loads trailers with finished product for distribution centers, bins and distributors. Reads load sheets to determine quantity of each product that needs loaded to destinations. Unloads inbound trailers with purchased products and puts into inventory. Operates forklift when loading and unloading. Operates stand up forklift when loading and unloading. Maintains integrity of rows and stands of product when pulling or adding to inventory. Stacks empty pallets and places on conveyor or in a trailer. Loads and unloads conveyor as required per warehouse and operates scanning devices. Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position. Requirements Works with management and fellow associates to ensure Food Safety programs are followed. Reports food, office or operational safety problems to a supervisor or manager for initiating action. Performs other duties as assigned that will impact and support the overall outcome of the company and department objectives. Requires basic math and reading skills. Knowledge of types and locations of products and truck loading procedures acquired through on the job training. Required to wear non‑slip shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment.
