Join a mission-driven team making a lasting impact on people's mobility and health through custom footwear, orthotic and custom AFO solutions! Crary Shoes is seeking a dedicated, experienced practitioner to join our dynamic team in Portland, OR.

Position Summary

As a Certified Orthotist at Crary Shoes, you'll evaluate, measure, and create custom footwear, orthotic, and AFO solutions to improve foot health. You'll work closely with our team and clients to deliver exceptional service and expert guidance at both of our Portland locations.

Key Responsibilities

•      Conduct foot evaluations and gait analysis

•      Design, measure, and fit custom orthotics, custom AFOs, and custom shoes

•      Educate clients on foot health and appropriate footwear

•      Collaborate with staff to ensure comprehensive customer care

•      Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment plans

•      Communicate via phone or email with clients and physicians

•      Use knives and a sander to modify and adjust products as needed

Qualifications

•      Certified Orthotist with current, up-to-date credentials

•      Proven experience in orthotic fitting and foot assessments

•      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a good sense of humor

•      Strong problem-solving skills, discernment, and humble confidence when working with challenging clients

•      Solid knowledge of orthopedic footwear and fitting uniquely flawed feet

•      Comfortable using technology, including 3D scanners and patient software

•      Compassionate, patient-centered approach and good moral character
