Maintenance Mechanic

Duties
Help
Construct and repair a wide variety of structural items, including building frames, concrete forms, walls, staircases, door and window frames, and interior and exterior trim.
Integrate wood, metal framing, and various composite materials to install, replace, or repair interior partitions, flooring systems, wall panels, suspended ceilings, countertops, and finish moldings.
Determine the specific methods, techniques, devices, and materials best suited to achieve the required surface finish, including glossy, epoxy-based, or high-performance coatings that must meet precise thickness and level tolerances.
Prepare diverse facility surfaces by smoothing substrates with abrasive compounds, pumice, and sandpaper to achieve a flawless and durable finish.
Execute all maintenance tasks in a manner that enhances the safety of the workspace, maintaining full compliance with federal, institutional, and shop safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
