About the Position

Job Title: Travel RN - Med/Surg Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital Med/Surg experience License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of acute care hospital Med/Surg experience. - BLS certification is required. Description: This is a travel RN position in the Med/Surg specialty. The unit has an average of 18-20 beds. There are approximately 35 staff members on the unit. The night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 3 nurses, 1 LPN, and 1-2 PCTs. Patient ratios are 6:1 with LPN support. The unit utilizes equipment such as Hoyer lifts, air taps, wound vacs, and PCA. Medical records are managed using an electronic medical record system. Typical procedures performed on this unit include wound and dressing care for post-operative patients. Candidates with experience in burn care, wound care, and ostomy care are preferred. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude. This unit is equipped with new technology and has an experienced staff. The schedule options are flexible to attract top talent.
