King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by Marriott currently has an opening for a talented Full Time Banquet Bartender to share the aloha spirit and strive to create a memorable guest experience. Brief summary of job: Responsible for all aspects of the bar area, including courteously and efficiently waiting on guests while crafting and serving beverages, setting up and stocking product for shifts, maintaining storage areas, and cleaning, sanitizing and maintaining equipment, utensils and tools.

Essential functions and responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to: maintaining a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to guests. Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members. Cheerfully wait on guests, make recommendations and up sell. Create and serve beverages. Responsible for designated section and accurately collecting and completing payment for all cash and charge transactions according to house policy. Stock side station with garnishments, bar mats, mixers, ice and jiggers. Assist Food and Beverage Manager with stocking beverages and mixes. Stock beverages and mixes for next shift. Close checks and run reports at the end of shift. Maintain clean bar tables, chairs, stools and counter surface at all times. Adhere to food safety standards. Report any missing/found articles or equipment/property damage to the Housekeeping Manager.

Knowledge/Education/Experience: Must meet minimum age for preparing and serving alcoholic beverages. Minimum one (1) year of bartending or related experience in a full-service restaurant or hotel F&B outlet required. High school or equivalent education. Micros knowledge preferred. Ability to operate a computerized point of sale system (Micros). TB clearance card required.

Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements: English speaking or bilingual. Operate cash register. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Dependable.
