The ideal candidate will bring a robust critical care background and demonstrated expertise in caring for postoperative adult patients recovering from anesthesia and complex surgeries. This pivotal role involves delivering exceptional patient-centered care, monitoring recovery, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert nursing care to adult patients during the immediate postoperative recovery phase following surgical procedures. Conduct thorough assessments, develop tailored care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate patient progress. Continuously monitor vital signs, hemodynamic parameters, respiratory function, neurological status, and cardiovascular stability. Detect early signs of deterioration, respond swiftly to medical emergencies, and escalate care as needed. Administer medications, blood products, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. Manage patients with complex medical conditions, utilizing advanced critical care skills to ensure safety and comfort. Communicate effectively with physicians, anesthesia providers, patients, and their families to coordinate care. Maintain accurate, complete documentation in the electronic medical record system. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and support infection control protocols. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred. Minimum of 2 years of PACU, ICU, or emergency department experience in a critical care setting. Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to manage high-acuity adult patients and respond effectively to emergent situations.
