Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The OR RN Circulator is responsible for providing comprehensive perioperative nursing care in the operating room. This role involves coordinating surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, and supporting the surgical team throughout diverse surgeries.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and assist during surgical procedures, ensuring compliance with sterile techniques and safety protocols.
• Monitor and assess patient condition before, during, and after surgeries.
• Manage sterile instruments and surgical equipment, ensuring proper handling and sterilization.
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to facilitate smooth operations.
• Document surgical procedures, patient information, and postoperative care accurately.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current OR nursing license or compact license.
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of perioperative nursing experience.
• Proficient in orthopedic (total joints), general, and OB-C-Sections surgeries.
• Certified in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills in orthopedics, gynecology, podiatry, endoscopy, and labor/delivery C-sections.
• Capable of floating to different units as needed.
