Job Description
This role supports production manufacturing in a light industrial, general assembly environment to help meet customer deadlines. You will perform routine tasks such as testing, inspection, light assembly, machine operation, and packaging while learning company policies, procedures, and production standards. The position is ideal for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and a positive attitude who want to build a long-term career in electronic manufacturing or related production work.
Responsibilities
- Support production manufacturing activities to ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Perform testing, inspection, light assembly, machine operation, and packaging tasks according to detailed instructions.
- Assemble components in a light industrial environment, including tasks equivalent to inserting one hose into another by hand.
- Use basic hand tools to complete electronic assembly and general production work.
- Follow established production standards, goals, and metrics, including throughput and piece count targets.
- Operate within established policies and procedures, seeking approval for any deviations.
- Work on routine assignments under close supervision while developing job skills and gaining familiarity with company processes.
- Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and documentation as required for production tasks.
- Use basic computer skills to navigate internal programs, complete documentation, and communicate via email.
- Enter and maintain data in basic Excel spreadsheets for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Monitor your own work to ensure quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements are met.
- Identify opportunities to improve quality, reduce scrap, and eliminate rework in daily tasks.
- Support and participate in improvement initiatives, including workplace organization activities such as 5S.
- Adapt to changes in work plans, priorities, and leadership direction in a fast-paced production environment.
- Collaborate and work cooperatively with team members and cross-functional teams as needed.
- Communicate openly and proactively share information, knowledge, and experience with co-workers.
- Take on additional assignments and tasks as needed to support production and other departments.
- Use time effectively to manage workload and consistently complete assignments on time without compromising quality.
- Maintain all required certifications and training for the role and apply new work requirements with minimal supervision.
- Escalate issues to supervisors when needed and keep them informed of progress, challenges, and quality concerns.
- Maintain a level temperament in a stressful environment and demonstrate a consistently positive attitude.
- Demonstrate a willingness to be flexible by assisting in other departments when needed.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to navigate internal programs similar to internet or basic software use.
- Basic Excel skills for documentation and tracking production-related information.
- Experience using email tools such as Outlook or similar programs.
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand tools in a production or assembly setting.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and work instructions for electronic assembly or production tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to adapt to changing work plans, priorities, and leadership direction.
- Capability to work cooperatively in a team environment and with cross-functional teams.
- Good oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and supervisors.

- Willingness to work a structured A shift schedule with 12-hour shifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred.
- One (1) or more years of related production, manufacturing, or assembly experience is preferred.
- Previous electronic manufacturing experience, including through-hole or surface mount soldering, is highly desirable.
- Experience in electronic assembly, including working from blueprints and using hand tools, is an advantage.
- Background in retail, fast food/food service, or other manufacturing fields is welcomed for entry-level candidates.
- Ability and desire to progress and build a long-term career in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and help out in other departments when needed.
- Experience supporting improvement initiatives, such as 5S or other workplace organization programs, is beneficial.
- Proven ability to use time effectively to manage workload and complete assignments on schedule.
- Track record of consistently meeting quality standards and minimizing scrap or rework.
- Comfort working under close supervision while following detailed instructions and established procedures.
- Open mindset toward continuous learning, cross-training, and taking on additional assignments.
- Electronic assembly and soldering experience, including familiarity with either through-hole or surface mount techniques, is a plus.

Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a moderate noise level. The facility employs a large workforce and operates as a light industrial, general assembly setting where typical lifting requirements are limited to approximately 10–15 pounds. Work involves testing, inspection, light assembly, machine operation, and packaging tasks, often similar to inserting one hose into another by hand. You will have the option to sit or stand during your shift, but standing will be required regularly and the role is not a sit-down-only position. The schedule follows an A shift pattern: every other Wednesday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., working 12-hour shifts. You will use basic computer systems, internal programs, Excel, Outlook, and hand tools in a structured production environment that emphasizes adherence to quality policies, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
