RN - MS Tele Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience in a surgical unit, comfortable with patient ratios of 1:5-6, up to 1:7 during peak times. Description:This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical/Telemetry.The nurse will work in a 46-bed surgical unit.The primary patient population includes individuals recovering from trauma surgery, bariatric surgery, abdominal surgery, and post-amputation care.The unit also handles overflow for medical and cardiac patients.Every other weekend work is required.Holidays are required every other year.The nurse will be responsible for managing infections, postoperative care, and telemetry monitoring.Basic duties include starting and maintaining IVs, managing cardiac and vasoactive drips, and performing wound care.Experience with Cerner charting is preferred.Candidates must be willing to float based on staffing needs.First-time travelers will be considered.Applicants must not have worked with the organization in the last three years.Compliance with professional conduct standards is mandatory.Unprofessional behavior or attendance issues may lead to immediate termination of the contract.Candidates are required to complete modules within the first week of assignment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
