Our holistic model also extends assistance to shelter, energy, weatherization, HIV and AIDS counseling, home visits, and mobile medical/dental clinics.Position Highlights:1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)$17.57-$21.52/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidatesAdditional pay for your bilingual skills, paid on hours worked100% employer-paid health insurance, including medical, dental, vision, Rx, 24/7 telemedicineProfit sharing & 403(b) retirement plan availableGenerous PTO, 8 paid holidays, and much more!What You'll Do:Answers the phone, transfers calls and takes messages as needed for the clinicGreet patients and maintain patient and visitor logs. Notifies appropriate person of the patient's arrival. Provides translation services as needed to patientsEnsures accurate and complete data and forms are collected for all patients. Creates and maintains patient charts, registering new patients and updating patient data in the computerSchedules patient appointments according to scheduling guidelines, appointment type, and time needed. Notifies appropriate Provider of all patient no-shows and cancellations. Adjusts and updates the schedule for cancellations, new patients and recall appointmentsVerifies patient's insurance eligibility and obtains and files insurance documentation. Assists patients with questions regarding insurance plans as neededReviews and responds to patients' questions in person, via phone, and patient portal systemsMay perform routine billing functions such as posting patient encounters, encouraging payment, taking payments and generating end-of-day reportsReviews cash box receipts and reconciles cash box dailyPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:High School Diploma or GEDOne year's experience as a Receptionist in a clinic preferredThis position is eligible for Bilingual Differential Compensation when an ALTA score of 9 is achievedBilingual (English/Spanish) speaking skills required at a level 9Ability to prioritize work and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously, with frequent interruptionsAbility to interact with patients, providers and staff in a professional mannerAbility to deliver outstanding customer serviceBasic knowledge of medical terminology desiredBasic knowledge of healthcare billing insurance desiredBasic proficiency with a variety of computer programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word and ExcelOur Mission Statement"Together we transform our communities through compassionate, individualized care, eliminating barriers to health and well-being."Our mission celebrates inclusivity.
