Respiratory Therapist

Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist RRT provides advanced respiratory care to diagnose, evaluate, treat, and manage cardiopulmonary deficiencies within physician prescriptions. Key Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic tests, interpret results, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimal patient care. Administer medications safely, monitor patient progress, and communicate findings to healthcare teams. Educate patients and families on self-care and wellness techniques. Complete accurate documentation, monitor supplies, and participate in quality and safety initiatives. Collaborate in departmental meetings and promote organizational values. Flexibility to float to other departments and provide on-call support may be required. Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program, current state license, and Registered Respiratory Therapist credential. Certifications in health care provider life support, ACLS, and additional specialty certifications as needed. Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills are essential.
