A national healthcare organization supporting U.S. Veterans is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner to perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) disability evaluations in Cookeville. This is a flexible, part-time opportunity ideal for physicians looking to supplement their income with low-stress, non-treatment evaluations.

This role involves one-time medical disability exams for Veterans and does not include prescribing, treatment, or follow-up care.

Schedule & Location

• PRN / Per Diem
• $600-750/full day
• Approximately 1.5 days per week needed
• Option to work day (4 hours) or full day (8 hours)
• Providers located within a 5-mile radius of Cookeville preferred
• No personal office required

Position Overview

Physicians will conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) disability evaluations and Separation Health Assessments for military Veterans. Exams are primarily interview-based with limited physical assessment and focus on documenting medical findings for disability claims.

These evaluations help ensure Veterans receive the benefits and care they have earned through their service.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform one-time, non-treatment disability evaluations
• Conduct medical history interviews and focused physical exams
• Complete range of motion and muscle strength testing
• Accurately document findings in the electronic system
• Submit completed medical reports for review
