Content Strategist & Writer - Next Generation Infrastructure & AI
SHI is seeking a Content Strategist & Writer - Next Generation Infrastructure & AI to support the Next Generation Infrastructure solution pillar, with a focus on datacenter, networking, and AI-driven technologies, as part of the Editorial and Research team. This role is responsible for developing clear, compelling content that drives thought leadership, strengthens brand positioning, and supports campaign and product storytelling.
This position blends content strategy, editorial storytelling, and marketing writing, translating complex datacenter, networking, and infrastructure technologies—alongside emerging AI capabilities such as AI-enabled infrastructure, automation, and data platforms—into clear, value-driven narratives that resonate with target audiences. The Content Strategist partners closely with product and solutions marketing, growth marketing, demand generation, creative teams, and subject matter experts to create content that educates buyers, differentiates SHI in the market, and drives measurable growth across the funnel.
Role Description
Develop content strategies aligned to Next Generation Infrastructure & AI business goals, go-to-market motions, industry trends, and audience needs
Translate complex datacenter, networking, and AI infrastructure concepts into clear, compelling narratives for technical and business audiences
Own full-funnel written content across formats (blogs, eBooks, whitepapers, webinars, email campaigns, landing pages), ensuring alignment to awareness, consideration, and decision stages
Collaborate on non-written content formats (video, podcasts, infographics, social media) to ensure cohesive storytelling across channels
Create product-adjacent and partner-facing content, including solution briefs, one-pagers, and FAQs, while partnering with creative teams on web copy
Develop innovative approaches to building awareness and demand across modern infrastructure and AI use cases, including buyer-led topic clusters and modular, reusable content strategies
Utilize AI tools to support research and drafting, applying strong editorial judgment to ensure accuracy, quality, and alignment with brand voice
Support content publishing in SHI's Resource Hub using WordPress, ensuring proper tagging, organization, and discoverability
Monitor datacenter, networking, infrastructure, and AI industry trends and connect insights to SHI's services and solutions in a differentiated way
Partner with editorial leadership and external agencies to develop research-backed thought leadership
Integrate cross-solution messaging and align content to broader company narratives
Continuously improve existing content through refreshes, repackaging, and optimization
Apply SEO and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) best practices to improve discoverability and performance

Skill Level Requirements
The ability to effectively utilize applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to enhance productivity and perform various tasks efficiently. - Intermediate
Proficiency in utilizing creative design applications such as Adobe Illustrator to create visually compelling graphics and designs. - Intermediate
Experience in using HTML and CSS for web design and development tasks. - Intermediate
The ability to apply SEO principles and best practices to enhance the visibility and performance of web designs. - Intermediate
Ability to create clear and effective technical documentation. - Intermediate
Other Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field, or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial, or B2B/technical writing
Proven experience writing across multiple formats, including long-form and executive-level content
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex infrastructure and AI concepts effectively
Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, creative, and SMEs
Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office, Asana, WordPress, and SEMrush
Ability to travel to SHI, partner, and customer events as needed
Preferred
Experience in datacenter, networking, infrastructure, and/or AI-related technologies
Familiarity with AI concepts such as automation, data platforms, and AI-enabled infrastructure
Familiarity with product marketing concepts (positioning, personas, value propositions)
Experience creating sales enablement or go-to-market aligned content
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $80,000 - $130,000 which includes a base salary. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
