About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Engineering Delivery & Excellence to spearhead the strategic and operational aspects of software engineering across its large-scale, cloud-based enterprise SaaS platform. The successful candidate will be a seasoned technology executive with a proven track record in elevating engineering standards and operational maturity. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality, reliability, productivity, performance, cost efficiency, and security of the platform. The VP will be responsible for establishing and driving engineering excellence in areas such as performance, quality, availability, security, and accessibility. They will also be tasked with modernizing the software development lifecycle, upleveling operational maturity, and representing engineering excellence to the company and its customers. Applicants for the VP of Engineering Delivery & Excellence position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' of engineering leadership experience, with a focus on enterprise SaaS. The role requires a deep understanding of engineering disciplines, including performance and optimization, quality engineering, security, and accessibility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading cross-functional engineering teams, influencing engineering standards, and driving technical change. Experience in implementing frameworks such as DevOps, SRE, and secure SDLC is essential. The VP will be expected to be a change agent, capable of setting a vision, influencing peers, and delivering measurable outcomes. A passion for building stable, fast, cost-efficient, secure, and inclusive engineering systems, as well as excellent executive communication skills, are also key qualifications for this role.
