Tech-Pharmacy Certified - FT Varied - SMCLocation: Gaffney, South Carolina, United States Spartanburg Medical Center Pharmacy Varied Shifts Job ID: P-107462 014 widget: Full Time Monday-Friday 0730-1800;0730-1600 and 0700-1530Job RequirementsPosition SummaryAssists the Pharmacist in the following areas:Customer satisfactionProcessing medication ordersPreparing and delivering medicationsCompleting inventory control functions andAdditional assignments given by the Pharmacy ManagersMinimum RequirementsEducationHigh School Graduate (or GED) Required; Graduate of accredited Pharmacy Technician ProgramExperienceN/ALicense/Registration/CertificationsMust be registered as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy intern with the SC Board of PharmacyNational Pharmacy Technician Certification and State CertificationCore Job ResponsibilitiesFollows attendance, dress, education (including continuing education) and safety policesComplies with appropriate regulatory agencies' requirements, e.g. DHEC, DEA, etc.Retrieves, packages and labels all medications accurately for routine deliveriesDeliveries are prepared and ready to go out on time. Quickly and accurately delivers medication and retrieves necessary documents and materials from units for return to PharmacyFills medication bins accurately and timely for Cart ExchangeResponds to STAT medication requests in a timely mannerPacking Medications for Unit Dose DeliveryFills Department RequisitionsDispenses controlled substances in accordance with established professional and current legal requirements to include labeling and record keepingStocks and checks assigned areas of the Pharmacy and the hospital for regulatory compliance with medication storageProcesses Crash Carts timely and AccuratelyDemonstrates and utilizes aseptic technique and mixes, compounds and prepares medications including IVsRestocking Automated Dispensing CabinetsConducts Medication ReconciliationChecks Prepackaging and Verifies Packaging AccuratelyTech check Tech responsibilities as applicable for re-dispensesOther duties as assigned
