Responsibilities

• Implement components of patient care under the supervision of the Physical Therapist; collect data related to treatments and adjust care as directed.
• Assist the Physical Therapist in treatments for patients across the lifespan within an LTAC/Skilled Nursing setting.
• Facilitate stretching, strengthening, and balance training; assist patients moving to the therapy area from wheelchairs or walkers.
• Read, interpret, and apply instructions from the Physical Therapist; document sessions and progress as required.
• Communicate with families to share at-home techniques and care recommendations; maintain a clean, organized therapy space.
• Complete basic administrative tasks (scheduling, filing paperwork) to support clinic workflow.

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Missouri (PTA license) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• LTC or Rehab experience required
• Ability to work in a LTAC/Skilled Nursing setting
• Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment
