Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical unit, ensuring their safety and well-being. Responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes accordingly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Document all patient interactions and care activities in the EMR system.
• Educate patients and families regarding aftercare and health management.

Qualifications:

• Hold current RN licensure in North Carolina.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience.
• Have valid BLS and ACLS certifications (minimum AHA).
• Demonstrate proficiency in IV starts and patient assessment.
• Ability to work night shifts (3x12 hours) and accommodate some weekends and holidays.
• Maintain compliance with Travel and RTO policies as specified.
