Electronics Maintenance Technician - Houston

As an Electronics Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in keeping our state-of-the-art production lines running. You will be the go-to expert for our automation systems, ensuring that our PLCs, robotics, and drives operate at peak performance. What Success Looks Like Success in this role means minimizing downtime and ensuring the safety and reliability of our manufacturing infrastructure. You will be responsible for both reactive repairs and proactive, preventive maintenance programs. Daily Operations: You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults, interpret PLC ladder diagrams, and perform component-level repairs on electronics. You will also manage work orders, update maintenance logs in our database, and maintain clear communication with production teams. Strategic Impact: Over time, you will become a subject matter expert on our equipment, helping to refine predictive maintenance procedures and occasionally stepping into lead functions to guide team operations when necessary. Safety First: You will consistently apply rigorous safety standards, including Lock Out/Tag Out/Try Out procedures and NFPA 70E compliance, ensuring that every repair is performed in a safe, controlled environment. Requirements Associate or technical degree in a related field. Minimum of 8 years of hands‑on experience in electronics maintenance within a manufacturing environment. Extensive working knowledge of PLCs, AC/DC drives, and operator interface terminals. Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic boards to the component level. Comfort working with industrial voltages up to 480 volts. Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to document repairs accurately in a computer database. Experience with or willingness to be certified on material handling equipment, such as forklifts and boom lifts. Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and NFPA 70E safety regulations. Nice-to-Haves Over 10 years of relevant maintenance experience. Advanced programming ability for PLCs, drives, and operator interfaces. Bilingual skills (Spanish or Vietnamese) are a plus.
